  1. That's why I uploaded the first picture. Her hip and the little white patch on her right elbow(?) are visible, but you need a wild imagination to picture a cat in there. :DThe one just uploaded was taken immediately after and something like 8x zoomed to look into the dark area, so the exposure is better and you can just make out the cat. :)I'd better go off and start doing my translation. Have a good day, DH. TTFN 🙂

  2. Even zoomed up and exposure adjusted, it is very hard to spot her.Originally posted by darkesthour:

    Funny things aren't they?

Fascinating fluffy balls of mischiefs 😉

  3. Yap :DVery well hidden, don't you agree? I didn't know that was her secret hide-out until I was one day walking around the corner carrying my roof repair stuff and a little banging of something stirred her from her late afternoon slumber 😉

  4. I was a little late for this quest :awww: A good hiding place your cat has Mimi

The cats always knows the best place to chill out :)Did you see anything in the first picture, Jill? 😀

  6. She has good camo-sense. Very enjoyable post MM. I hope your week is a good one.:D

  7. You don't normally think a black back and white chest would make good camo!.

  8. When taking a good look at the animals, a person would never think that their markings can hide them in the wild and yet it does it so well.

Yes, they do. Even the domesticated ones. :p

  10. So true, they are after all still animals, and the cat knows the art of camo, better than any other animal.

  11. She's been staking out by neighbour's compost bin ever since she had her dinner. I'm guessing she's hoping for a little juicy supper before going to bed tonight … :cat: :p

  12. I think primates are cat lovers. And the domesticated cats are bred to be playful, cute fun human companions aren't they? There was an ape (Gorilla, I think) in captivity that was allowed to have a pet cat. I remember seeing on TV the big black ape carrying the cat around under arm and the cat just stayed there relaxed with legs dangling. That was cute, though very unnatural.

  13. Ohhhh yes indeed, the feline species are so adorable and they know what they want!!!Our neighbor has a black and white cat like that, and the baby toddler monkeys pull his tail when he is sleeping in the sun and it is not long then the chase is on, I am surprised that they play with the cat the way they do. The two species are supposed to be enemies.

  14. Yes, I cannot remember her name…they gave her the kitten as a pet after her baby was still born and she would not eat because she was grieving. She took to the kitten immediately. So sweet. There are a lot of "unnatural" alliances in nature. I know of a tiger in Kenya that adopted a fawn and even used to allow it to drink on the mother (of the fawn) after the feed it would take the fawn away from the mother and clean it and care for it herself.

That is indeed unusual. It must be something in fundamental mammal instincts to love the sight of defenseless young and touch of the soft fur/skin and the warmth from the baby.

  16. :lol:I'm off to sort out stuff. You'll have a good day, DH. Are going away on a holiday over Christmas?

  17. Haven't gone shopping yet. The local supermarket doesn't get new stock of fresh stuff like bread & milk until mid afternoon. Potted up some seedlings/cuttings. I really should put a proper herb bed up near house but choosing location is a bit problematic.

    :yuck: They do, too.

  19. They dig out the plants and replace them with something of their own creation… :eyes:

  20. Unlikely alliances.I can fill this whole page but I am not going to. Enjoy the Pics.

  21. Hahahaha, animals…..you just never can tell. I am looking for the story I told you about, I know about this from a news paper article years back and now I cannot find it.

Yo should be singing in rain and doing the rain dance. :jester:

  23. Thank you MM. I hope so too, I am very optimistic when I look out the window here.

  24. Done the rain dance….swam in the rain, ok not in the rain but in the pool while it was raining, fed the monkeys in the rain. Will be swimming again in a while.

  25. Hahahah, just about like that yes. Well I am happy to announce that it has been raining here during the night and continues to do so. We also have warnings of heavy rainfalls so I am holding thumbs that this time the meteorologist has it right on the button for a change. Poor kitty will have to get a rub down before she can do that.

  26. It must be really bad if even handheld hose is forbidden. 🙁 hope this rain you are having now gives you some reprieve.

You are talking about an old dusty scrapbook in cardboard box at the bottom of a huge pile of similar cardboard boxes? :DStarted to rain a half an hour ago and now my cat has come home totally soggy. :yuck: At least she's not insisting to sit on my lap on top of my laptop, yet.

Good news. So won't be a repeat of last summer for you? :)Here in NZ some areas are getting very dry. Hopefully this rain eases the situation for the affected farmers.Originally posted by NitroH:

She's drying herself now. It's not cold, so she's quite happy in her box. It's winter when she wants my warm lap(top) :p
