Yesterday was the day after the winter solstice. This winter has been rather wet and depressing, but for a change, the mother nature decided to give us a reprieve. I took advantage of the calm sunny day and went for a walk down to the bush reserve down the street. It was the first real exercise since my PVC episode nearly ten days ago. I took it very easy and slowly, taking 65 minutes to do the walk that normally takes me about 40 minutes. My heart behaved all the way during the walk, which was very encouraging. Previously the PVC came on not during, but some time after exercise, especially during the following night. But my heart has behaved and is still behaving today. If things are OK today, I'll try another walk tomorrow. It'll be great if I can build up my fitness as day grows.
This panorama shows the bush reserve I regularly go for walk.
Very glad your walk went well. :up: Enjoyed seeing your panorama.

From the same vantage point? Very cool. 😎 I'll keep an eye out for them. 😀
Thanks, Deb. I plan to add more panoramic pictures of sunset as the seasons go by. Watch the space 🙂
I do like your header image. :up:To change your title font/color go to this page:http://my.opera.com/mimi_s_mum/account/usercss.dml#user-css-editClick the "Advanced" tab. In the "CSS Code" area, you could change the color by doing something like this:
#top h1 {
color:black;
font-size:18px;
font-weight:bold;
}
#subtitle {
color:black;
font-size:13px;
font-weight:bold;
}
Then at the bottom, click "Use my custom style sheet together with the current blog design" and SAVE.
Yes. It'll be a 6 months long project. I think sunset photos are much easier. I'm not an early bird that gets the worm. :zzz: By the way, I've just updated the header image. Do you like it? I want to do something about title font/colour, but not very hot on CSS (or coding in general)
Thanks, Deb. You made it much easier than I imagined. It looks much better now. 🙂
I like to see people be in control of their own sites. Nice work! :up:
The PVC did come back mid afternoon on the day after I posted this. I still went out for walk yesterday and found my heart steadied itself as I walked uphill! I went even higher and enjoyed the view over the city. Shame it was slightly wet day and I didn't take my camera. I might have overdone it, though. I had rather bad PVC episodes last night. I think probably shorter walks every day are more desirable than long ones every other day.

If only you were close enough to distract yourself over at my house. :DSo it sounds like you have to be careful about your electrolyte balance.
Thanks, Deb. It was disconcerting but knowing worrying would exacerbate them, I tried to distract myself by extra-cleaning kitchen. If I continue to have those episodes at last night's rate, I'll have a very tidy house :DI also didn't get good sleep the night before. I went to the rugby-mad friend's house and watched NZ Maori beat England. A very exciting game but undoubtedly caused me to have trouble going to sleep. And I was short of bananas (good source of potassium :)Now I've been to shopping & stocked up plenty of bananas and had a bit of sleep-in this morning, my heart is behaving. :banana: :banana:

Probably a good idea to build up gradually. The PVC episodes must be discomforting.
To be totally honest, I'm not at all sure what to watch for. But potassium and magnesium deficiencies are often listed as one of the triggering factors in medical sites, and something I can avoid quite easily by maintaining balanced diet along with excess caffeine and dehydration. Other things such as anxiety and lack of sleep are more difficult to control.I've just been out for a shorter lunch time walk. Feel fine so far. 🙂
[Update]Second sunset photo taken on 4 July NZST. Added to the photo album along with another take of 22 June picture, in a slightly wider perspective. 🙂
