Switchover to digital television by 2013
The switchover will occur in four stages:
* Hawke's Bay and the West Coast in September 2012,
* rest of the South Island in April 2013
* Lower North Island, Taranaki and Gisborne in September 2013, and
* rest of the North Island in November 2013.
Hmmm. Wonder if our friend DarkestHour has something to say about this
I see, your TV has USB port. That sounds useful.Originally posted by italianjob44:
you are talking about those come with digital tuner and hard drive and shows perfect hi-definition images? Yeah, I'd love to, but those are very expensive. 🙁
I see. My dad in Japan is contemplating what to buy, since thier analogue cut off date is July next year. The high end there seems to come with HDD, Blu Ray player and wireless to connect to Internet (without need for computer). Those are very expensive and I suppose only available in Japan. They may be in a couple of years time.

Will occur overnight. The days are truly numbered for my old CRT TV. Exactly 365 days from tomorrow. http://www.goingdigital.co.nz/making-the-switch/coverage-areas-2/coverage-areas.html
Well, you can still use it as a monitor for your Raspberry Pi! :p
Maybe. 😆 Or I can always get a set-top box, which I might actually do. 😉
