Recipe
1. Stick a whole pumpkin/squash in microwave and nuke five minutes, turn and nuke another five minutes
2. Wait a few minutes till the pumpkin cools down. Cut into quarters and then halve each quarter. Microwave cooking should make it very easy to cut.
3. Scoop seeds out with a soup spoon. Again microwaving should have taken the slime out of pulp around seeds.
4. Remove skin. You may still have to use your kitchen knife, but it should again be easy as pre-microwaving should have soften the flesh
5. Chop one large or two small onion(s). Lightly fry with a Little oil.
6. Put the onion and pumpkin flesh into a large pot. Add enough water to cover and cook until cooked (, naturally)
:chef:
And maybe just a pinch of chilli powder and a clove of garlic.. A drop of cream is good too :chef:
Good investment – buy a breadmaking machine, chuck it all in the tin and about an hour later the dough is ready to be knocked back and left to rise again. I finish off mine in a very low oven then just whack up the temperature to cook them 😀
😆 Spoken like a true chef :chef:I also wouldn't mind some home baked cheezy bread rolls, instead of the charred slices of supermarket bread. Problem with them is that I can't help burning them when making toast. :p
I should imagine, so, though I haven't bought anything other than the basic loaf for ages. I used to buy Burgen bread but stopped buying when $3.50 a loaf became Burgen's best bargain price (pun intended :D)I probably should try doing traditional home baking more. Only if I can find that recipe … :p

Yeah but home made quality bread from the supermarket is very expensive :eyes:
I had a great recipe for white rolls… No idea what happened to it

One way of doing it. Or use the old fashioned way. I had a good easy recipe, but don't seem able to find it now. :pSomeone did a cost analysis on breadmachine vs hands&oven. apparently the difference was negligible. So a breadmachine should qualify as a good investment. Still supermarket brand bread is cheaper than both.
That seems a common fate for good recipes
Maybe Doctor Who can find them in the void? 😀 Originally posted by darkesthour:
All my pens are accounted for :p
Those round tuits are so hard to come by these days
I think they go to another dimension… A wormhole for recipes, similar to what happens to ballpoint pens :sherlock:
😆 Maybe the ants carried them off. :jester:I've Binged "easy dinner roll recipe" but haven't found the recipe in the first 3 pages. I remember printing it off for reference while preparing. It should be there somewhere in the piles of papers I put aside a while ago. I'll see if I can find it, when I get round-tuit :p
Mine are usually not accounted for, and nobody is accountable for it :irked:
You never know. I've recently got a couple of round-tuits. Switched insurance and arranged to change mortgage type to revolving. Small things but I believe those will help me save a few extra bucks :knight:
That's right :p Now I've got a round-tuit account 😆

Awesome :DI have had enough, I am going home
:yikes: I thought you were already home! I went off line to watch Grey's Anatomy :p
Sometimes I work half days, sometimes it doesn't matter which 12 hours that is 😀
Flexible work hours :yes:Or no work-life boundary? :(I've no work-life boundary, either. When I bought my laptop, I initially created separate accounts for work and private stuff. Now I've no issue publishing blog posts from my work account :pHave you taken a look at my new post? ;)I see you have. Seems there's something wrong with the notifications. :irked: Back to work. Deadline in two hours.
Two hours? I trust you are nearly done… 😀
Done, dusted and sent away 😀
Good timing 😆
😀 Always
On to the next thing then?
Not until next order comes. Oh, I love freelancing. 😀
Time to kick back then, good weather to play with your camera?
At least the roof is done
Or well earned power nap.
Yes! :yes:Too cold for nap on rooftop, IMHO :p
It was rumoured to be 19C here yesterday, probably not far off. A bit cooler today but still not much cloud about.
You need the roof to be black during the day in winter and white at night (both sides) and vice versa in summer. Actually thats really not a bad idea… :sherlock:
Not bad at all. But I could see some technical difficulties.
No such rumours around here. 10-12 even when sun's out. At least the sun heats the interior temperature while out. Help me save on the power bill.
Paint that changes colour has already been invented
I was just checking out power switching options. I was on the 3 year price freeze deal and it recently expired. A bit tricky to make such a decision when you haven't received a bill with the revised rate. Guess I'll have to wait another month before making move. :sherlock:
http://www.powerswitch.org.nz 😉
Power switching? As in night rate, day rate?
Oh, yes, they advertise n TV, I should have a post it note on my forehead now 😀
What's your number? 😀
2BIG 😥
:lol:I believe ignorance is a bliss :angel::D
