What comes to your mind when you read of this law title? What do you think this law is for?
"Act for Securing the Proper Operation of Worker Dispatching Undertakings and Improved Working Conditions for Dispatched Workers"
For those who are really interested, the original Japanese law title is
労働者派遣事業の適正な運営の確保及び派遣労働者の就業条件の整備等に関する法律

Luckily the Japanese have no use for laws in English. They do their laws in Japanese 🙂
As long as they stick with the Japanese versions, which sounds, um, mumbo jumbo legalese, they will not need to imagine how a worker may be "dispatched". Since I found that law title, I couldn't help thinking about the cookery term, "spatchcock" and how a "'spatchworker" would look like. :pAt least I was lucky the document I was translating this week was a course material, and I got away with avoiding "dispatch". If I were doing a policy document, I would have to stick to terms used in the official translation. 😥
To "dispatch" someone is a euphemism for killing them in my mind! :pDamn, that sounds daunting! :insane:
And "Undertaking" in English is what an "Undertaker" does! :yikes:Talk about a grisly law! :insane::lol:So, here's a more twisted translation, based on the above translation! :p"Act for Securing the Proper Operation of Worker Execution Burials and Improved Working Conditions for Executed Workers" :insane::jester::lol:English is a dangerous language! :p

Oh, Japanese to German works quite well with the Microsoft translator:"Auf die Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen dafür den ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb des Arbeitnehmers versendenden Unternehmen und Beschäftigte mit befristeten Verträgen usw. handeln."horrible grammar, but the Google translator can translate that garbled sentence to almost proper English:"Ensure the proper operation of the employee shipping companies and employees act on improving the working conditions of temporary contracts, etc.."… at least it doesn't dispatch, execute and take them under 😆
