My choice of weapon [3]

To deal with piles of laundry.

Following the rather expected but still sudden death of my 17+ year old washing machine last week, this shiny new hard-working man joined the household and made a very successful debut yesterday.

I had it delivered and it arrived in the morning of the thunderstorm day. The delivery guys were two big strong young boys. One of them flung the box up on his shoulder and carried it up on steps to the house (probably about two stories up from the drive). He then did the same thing to the old one and carried it away, like a kidnapper carrying away a little girl! I commented how impressively strong he was and asked if he played rugby. He replied, 'No, tennis'!

Though not too happy about the forced big spending, I'm very happy to get this white beauty. 🙂

  1. The old one was taken away and the shop might try to recycle the old one so it may still be alive. But that's not likely. :rip: The delivery guys were two big strong young boys and one of them flung the new one still in box up on his shoulder and carried it up on steps to the house (probably about two stories up from the drive). 2. I actually asked him if he played rugby and he said, no, tennis! 😆

    That's super!

  7. Enjoyed the title of this post. 😀 Amazed at the idea of just tossing a washing machine over your shoulder and sauntering off. :eyes:I think we replaced our washing machine about a year ago. This one does a good job, plus it is way more quiet than the old one. But our dryer is probably a couple decades old and makes something of a ruckus.

😀 My hardware gets that title. I know washing machine is technically a piece of whiteware, but it is still hardware, right? It'd been better if the replacement had been planned. Luckily on the day the old one died, I found a very good deal online, which was nearly $200 cheaper than any other shop. 🙂

Thanks. Apparently has a "Smart Drive" in it. (Or maybe not this model? I don't care Yap, it does. 😎 )
