This is the second post about my back/neck breaking efforts on my section.
I had this thick ivy covered retaining wall, which I cleared last spring, another garden/section task after making raised garden bed.
The end result was again very satisfying. But I was also left with piles of debris. Some I moved to a part of back section where it could slowly decay and go back to earth. …
Some loose stuff looked to make reasonable leaf mould if left alone, which I then could use to improve the soil in my newly created raised garden beds.
Now the raised beds. The way my section is sloping and my house is situated, meant a part of my front yard where one of the beds was did not get sun light until late morning. I didn't realise that when I was constructing the beds during early spring. Now the growing season was near, I needed to do something about it.
This image shows how I rectified the situation the hard way. (Follow the link to the album page. Note the image is again a large animated gif, 1.7MB this time, so you may have to wait if you are on a slow connection.) A typical example of why I titled my blog "Hard Life"

Thank you :happy:I believe the blood, sweat & aches after an honest day backbreaking does good to your soul. 😀
Waw.. You're the girl!!
Oh, dear … asceticism.
And makes your cold drinks end of day tastes better.
Again I'm not seeing any animation via Opera Mobile. Will come back later on my computer. As to locating the original bed in a not-so-very-sunny spot, all I can say is

I have heard from Helen by email recently. She can't remember how to get on OC (for months) 😥

It is a memory problem of some complexity. As she has time she is trying to reconnect….. that's all I can say. She will say more when she gets here herself. She is very busy right now. 🙂
OK. Thanks for the update. 🙂
🙂 your welcome 🙂
That above appears to be a spammer, MM … I am about to report her, and perhaps you should, as well.
Actually, I was about to post the remark that your title for this post always makes me think of Enya's song, Lazy Days, not because of the mood or lyrics, but because of the rhythm and meter of the last line of the verse: "crazy amazing day".
Indeed good works and determination you have made..I appreciate it. Thank you for sharing..Inkjet Paper
